I. Product Overview
The multi-media filter uses one or more kinds of filter media, and allows higher turbidity water to flow through the
granular or non-granular materials of some thickness, under a certain pressure, so as to remove suspended
impurities from water
and so make water clean. The common filter materials include quartz sand, soft coal, manganese ore, etc. The
device is mainly used for water turbidity removal, water softening, pure water pretreatment, etc, and the turbidity of
effluent can come to below grade 3.
The multi-media filter can be made of glass steel or all stainless steel. It has two operating modes, i.e. full automatic
and manual. It is widely applied in the water pretreatment devices in all kinds of industries.
II. Technical principle
The multi-media filter is a pretreatment device of the water treatment system, which is applicable for influent with
turbidity ranging between 1-10NTU. Its function is to remove from water suspended solids, particles and colloids,
and reduce turbidity and SDI
value of influent, to meet the requirements for influent of the downstream devices of the demineralizer.

4. Working temperature: 5-50℃;
5. Flow rate: 6-12m/h;
6. Water back washing intensity: 20-30m/h;

8. Filler level: 400 for hard coal/ 600 for quartz sand;
9. Specification for quartz sand: 0.4 ~ 0.65mm (nonuniform coefficient < 2); specification for hard coal:
0.8 ~ 1.6mm (nonuniform coefficient < 1.7).
