I. Product Overview
The center drive single-pipe suction scraper is used for circular sedimentation tank with large diameter in urban
sewage treatment plant and industrial wastewater treatment plant, especially secondary sedimentation tank. It can
discharge the sludge at the bottom of the tank and skim the scum from the water surface. This series of suction
scrapers can be applied to both secondary sedimentation tank with peripheral water inlet and outlet and that with
central inlet and peripheral outlet.
II. Structure and Principle
ZXD type center drive single-pipe suction scraper is made up of service bridge, skimming plate, scraping arm,
central sludge pit, drive mechanism, center vertical column, center rotary vertical rack, sludge suction pipe, scum
baffle, effluent weir plate, apron plate, clump weight, etc.
This product is vertical type and adopts center drive unit. Sewage flows into peripheral water distribution groove,
and uniformly flows into the tank through the water distribution hole in the bottom of the groove, then it flows to the
center guided by the water holding apron, meanwhile sludge deposits to the bottom of the tank under its own weight,
thus the separation of sludge and water can be achieved. The central vertical rack, scraping arm and suction pipe are
rotated uniformly by the drive unit; under the effect of hydrostatic pressure, sludge uniformly enters into the suction port
on the suction pipe, then, it is drained out of the tank through the sleeve valve of central sludge discharge pipe. The
amount of sludge discharged can be controlled by adjusting the sleeve valve. The scum on the surface of water is
skimmed to the tank side, and then scraped by the scraping rake into the slag bucket and discharged.

IV. Product Features
1. The design of section is adopted for ZXD type center drive single-pipe suction scraper. The cone-shape suction pipe is designed to become larger gradually from inside to outside, to make sure that the sludge
discharge capacity of each suction hole matches the amount of sludge setting at the bottom of the belt-shape tank, ensuring rapid suction and high sludge discharge concentration.
2. Minimum amount of stirred sludge, back-flow sludge is fresh without degeneration, and the quality of outlet water
is good.
3. The driving device which combines helical gear reducer and turbine reducer can guarantee torque and speed
and high driving effect. As it is provided with over-torque protection device, its running is safe and reliable.
