When the basin is being inspected, the diffuser should not be raised above the water. According to water quality and  running situations, determine the time interval for periodical cleaning of diffuser. After one to two years, high

pressure water is used to wash diffuser. If there are scales on the membrane surface, acid may be added for

cleaning and clean it from diffuser inside.

The methods are as follows:

◆Installation: Use the cleaner to send the cleaning agent (mainly formic acid) to the aeration system through

a flexible tube connecting to air tube.

◆Configuration: Move the cleaner to any main tube for the areas to be cleaned.

◆Running: Since formic acid is used for cleaning, the temperature should be controlled above 50℃ for fear of coagulation.

◆Dosing: Amount and frequency of adding acid must be determined according to the situations of sewage

treatment plants. Generally speaking, clean the aeration system in one day, and the use amount is: 1g formic

acid / diffuser. If it has no obvious effect, the dosage may be added to 3-5 times.

◆ Period: If the pressure drop rises after cleaning for one week, repeat the procedures above for cleaning.

◆ Maintenance: The cleaner needs no special maintenance.

◆ Safety advice: Cleaner and auxiliary tubes must be prevented from corrosion and operate in accordance with

cautions for solution.
